Durolane is indicated for intra-articular injection for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee or hip. The product must be injected by a qualified physician in accordance with local legislation.
Durolane contains 20 mg/ml of stabilised non-animal hyaluronic acid (NASHA®) in a sodium chloride buffer solution at pH 7. It is a sterile, transparent viscoelastic gel supplied in a 3 ml glass syringe. The product is for single use only.

Modalità d'utilizzo
Aspirare l’eventuale versamento articolare prima di procedere all’iniezione.
Svitare con cautela il cappuccio della siginga, mantenendo saldamente tra le dita il colletto di chiususa "Luer Lock" e prestando particolare attenzione al fine di evitare un contatto con l'apertura. Inserire l'ago al colletto di chiusura del tipo Luer Lock della siringa (ago di diametro compreso tra 18 e 22G) avvitandolo saldamente, fino a percepire una leggera pressione in modo da assicurare una tenuta stagna e prevenire la fuoriuscita di liquido durante la somministrazione, mantenendo saldamente tra le dita il colletto di chiusura "Luer Lock".
Iniettare SINOVIAL 50 2,5 ml a temperatura ambiente ed in condizioni di stretta asepsi, all’interno dello spazio sinoviale dell’articolazione oppure nella guaina tendinea/zona peri-tendinea, a seconda della necessità medica identificata.
Componenti
2% di acido ialuronico, sale sodico altamente purificato (peso molecolare compreso tra gli 800 e 1.200 KDalton), cloruro di sodio, fosfato di sodio, acqua per preparazioni iniettabili.
Avvertenze
SINOVIAL 50 2,5 ml può essere iniettato solo da un medico.
Il contenuto della siringa pre-riempita è sterile.

L'eventuale presenza di una bolla d'aria non pregiudica le caratteristiche del prodotto.
Non mescolare SINOVIAL 50 2,5 ml con disinfettanti del tipo sali di ammonio quaternario o clorexidina poiché può formarsi un precipitato.
L’infiltrazione extra-articolare di SINOVIAL 50 2,5 ml può causare localmente effetti indesiderati. Durante l’impiego di SINOVIAL 50 2,5 ml possono comparire nel punto d’iniezione sintomi quali dolore, sensazione di calore, arrossamento o gonfiore. Tali manifestazioni secondarie possono essere alleviate con l’applicazione di ghiaccio sull’area trattata. Normalmente le stesse scompaiono dopo breve tempo. Il medico deve assicurarsi che i pazienti lo informino di eventuali effetti indesiderati sopravvenuti dopo il trattamento.
SINOVIAL 50 2,5 ml non deve essere iniettato in presenza di un’articolazione infetta o gravemente infiammata o se il paziente presenta un’affezione cutanea o un’infezione nell’area del punto d’iniezione.
Il prodotto non deve essere utilizzato in caso di ipersensibilità nota al sodio ialuronato o agli altri componenti.
Ad oggi non sono note interazioni tra SINOVIAL 50 2,5 ml ed altri farmaci.
Non mescolare con disinfettanti del tipo sali di ammonio quaternario o clorexidina poiché può formarsi un precipitato.
Non deve essere iniettato in presenza di un'articolazione infetta o gravemente infiammata o se il paziente presenta un'affezione cutanea o un'infezione nell'area del punto di iniezione.
