Il macrogol è un polimero inerte idrosolubile ad alto peso molecolare che ha la capacità di legarsi all'acqua utilizzata per l'assunzione trattenendola nelle feci. Determina una reidratazione e un ammorbidimento della massa fecale e ne facilita l'evacuazione. Accelera il transito intestinale favorendo la peristalsi. Non viene assorbito o metabolizzato nel tratto gastro-intestinale e non porta a squilibri idro-elettrolitici, se assunto con la dose indicata di liquido. Il simeticone è una sostanza che ha la capacità di diminuire la tensione superficiale delle bolle di gas presenti nel tratto gastrointestinale, facilitandone l'espulsione.

Modalità d'uso
Adulti e bambini di età superiore ai 12 anni (>43 kg)
- da 1 a 4 bustine al giorno.
La dose deve essere aumentata o diminuita, a seconda della risposta individuale al trattamento, in modo da consentire un'evacuazione regolare di feci morbide. La dose massima necessaria non supera normalmente le 4 bustine al giorno. Sciogliere la polvere in acqua o altro liquido (125 ml per ogni bustina) e assumere immediatamente. Si consiglia di somministrare il prodotto al mattino nel caso si debba assumere la dose minima (1 bustina al giorno). Per dosi maggiori suddividere l'assunzione tra mattino e sera.

Avvertenze
Non assumere Agpeg esse in caso di ipersensibilità nota verso macrogol o gli altri componenti, perforazione, ostruzione o stenosi intestinale, ileo paralitico, gravi patologie infiammatorie del tratto intestinale come morbo di Crohn, colite ulcerosa e megacolon tossico. L'uso dei lassativi è controindicato in caso di dolore addominale acuto o di origine sconosciuta, nausea e vomito, sanguinamento rettale di origine sconosciuta e in caso di grave stato di disidratazione.
Potrebbero verificarsi alcuni disturbi gastro-intestinali (mal di pancia, flatulenza, gonfiore addominale, nausea e incontinenza fecale). La diarrea è un effetto secondario all'assunzione di dosi eccessive di Agpeg esse ed è evitabile diminuendo la dose di assunzione. Sono stati riportati raramente casi di reazioni da ipersensibilità (rash cutaneo) a seguito dell'utilizzo di prodotti contenenti macrogol. Nel caso, sospendere il trattamento e consultare il medico.
Si consiglia di utilizzare il prodotto in età pediatrica dopo aver consultato il medico. La somministrazione nei bambini deve essere effettuata sotto diretto controllo di un adulto. Consultare il medico prima dell'uso in gravidanza e allattamento. Non usare dopo la data di scadenza indicata sulla confezione. Non utilizzare se la confezione risulta aperta o danneggiata. Non superare la dose massima giornaliera. Tenere il prodotto o la soluzione ottenuta fuori dalla portata dei bambini. Qualora non si dovesse notare alcun miglioramento dopo 7 giorni di trattamento, si consiglia di consultare il medico. Il prodotto può ridurre il tempo di permanenza nell'intestino e quindi l'assorbimento di medicinali ad uso orale. Si consiglia pertanto di consultare il medico in caso di assunzione contemporanea di medicinali ad uso orale, che devono in ogni caso essere somministrati ad una distanza di almeno 2 ore. In caso di reazioni indesiderate, anche se diverse da quelle elencate, sospendere il trattamento e consultare il proprio medico.

Conservare in luogo fresco ed asciutto, al riparo dalla luce e lontano da fonti di calore. La data di scadenza indicata si riferisce al prodotto correttamente conservato in confezione integra. Una volta aperto il barattolo.
